WHAT IS THE NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD ?

The Night of the Living Dead began for several reasons. First, the country needed a professional deadlift only meet as there was not one at its inception. Second, the area had forgotten its rich deadlifting history and needed an event to remind the people of their iron-laden past. Third, I had just started a high school powerlifting team and we had no money. The NOTLD allowed us to raise money for the kids and to bring in some of the greatest deadlifters on earth to inspire them to new heights.

What began as a small meet with 10 lifters has turned into the most exciting deadlift meet in the world attracting the premier deadlifters from America and even a few from overseas.

Orlando Green (230) deadlifts an 865 PR at the Ronnie Coleman Expo's Clash of the Titans IV. Orlando first tasted the NOTLD stage in 2010 with an amazing 815 pull at 220 to finish third. This is some amazing strength incrrease in 6 months and we can't wait for Oct. to see him pull the 900.
