WHAT IS THE NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD ?

The Night of the Living Dead began for several reasons. First, the country needed a professional deadlift only meet as there was not one at its inception. Second, the area had forgotten its rich deadlifting history and needed an event to remind the people of their iron-laden past. Third, I had just started a high school powerlifting team and we had no money. The NOTLD allowed us to raise money for the kids and to bring in some of the greatest deadlifters on earth to inspire them to new heights.

What began as a small meet with 10 lifters has turned into the most exciting deadlift meet in the world attracting the premier deadlifters from America and even a few from overseas.

APT's NOTLD 2010 MAKES THE COVER OF POWERLIFTING USA

After months of hard work by all involved, the NOTLD will get the credit it deserves as the premier deadlifting event in America with is cover spot on the December 2010 issue of Powerlifting USA.

Thanks to all the great lifters that came and put on the performance of a life time, the sponsors that got on board and supported these lifters and made this epic showdown a reality, the fans that showed up by the hundreds, and all of the workers that made it go off without a hitch.
