WHAT IS THE NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD ?

The Night of the Living Dead began for several reasons. First, the country needed a professional deadlift only meet as there was not one at its inception. Second, the area had forgotten its rich deadlifting history and needed an event to remind the people of their iron-laden past. Third, I had just started a high school powerlifting team and we had no money. The NOTLD allowed us to raise money for the kids and to bring in some of the greatest deadlifters on earth to inspire them to new heights.

What began as a small meet with 10 lifters has turned into the most exciting deadlift meet in the world attracting the premier deadlifters from America and even a few from overseas.

EXALT GYM BECOMES THE TITLE SPONSOR OF THE 2011 NOTLD

Exalt Gym is the only real gym in the entire Tri-cities area. Forget those cozy little "gyms" with the coffee shops and pink foam weights. This is a real gym for real athletes. They have competition benches, squat racks, chains, bands, monolift, GHR, reverse hyper, battling ropes, sleds, tires, etc. It was the only gym beastly enough to handle the Andy Bolton seminar in 2010. We are proud to have a gym with their vision as the title sponsor of this event. If you live in the area, there is no other place to train. If you ever visit (you know, like to watch the greatest deadlift show on earth) you have to get workout in there.
